Energhx™ is a green energy consulting firm, started as Energhx Consulting in January 2008; and incorporated in the Province of Ontario on the 6th of July 2009. Municipality, provincial, and federal government incentives are available for energy efficiency, retrofit, and installation of hybrid solar-wind energy generation systems. The following programs are available for residents and businesses in Ottawa, Ontario: Solar Energy Systems Rebate Program The rebate program returns the Retail Sales Tax (RST) paid on solar energy systems to homeowners or builders, who install the energy systems into residential premises, including multi-residential premises, or who expand or upgrade an existing solar energy system. Hydro Ottawa is assisting Commercial, Industrial, & Institutional and Agricultural customers to conserve energy in cooperation with the Ontario Power Authority. The Electricity Retrofit Incentive Program provides financial incentives to influence you to undertake projects to improve the energy efficiency of your facilities and improve your bottom line. The Electricity Retrofit Incentive Program focuses on energy efficient lighting, motors, water heating, ventilation, air conditioning and controls. ERIP also provides Custom Incentives for other measures at $150/kW reduction. ecoENERGY Retrofit Incentive for Buildings
Natural Resources Canada's Office of Energy Efficiency (OEE) offers the ecoENERGY Retrofit Incentive for Buildings, the commercial/institutional component of the ecoENERGY Retrofit financial incentives for existing homes, buildings and industrial processes. If you have not yet started a new energy efficiency project, you could receive up to $10 per gigajoule of estimated energy savings, 25 percent of eligible project costs or $50,000 per project. When applying, you will need to provide a pre-project energy audit of your buildings.
ecoENERGY Retrofit Incentive for Industry Natural Resources Canada’s Office of Energy Efficiency (OEE) provides a financial incentive of up to 25 percent of project costs to a maximum of $50,000 per application and $250,000 per corporate entity to help small- and medium-sized industrial facilities implement energy-saving projects.
ecoENERGY for Renewable Power ecoENERGY for Renewable Power will invest $1.48 billion to increase Canada's supply of clean electricity from renewable sources such as wind, biomass, low-impact hydro, geothermal, solar photovoltaic and ocean energy. It will encourage the production of 14.3 terrawatt hours of new electricity from renewable energy sources, enough electricity to power about one million homes.
